Who You'll be Working With

Hi, I'm Edmund

Having always been sporty and playing a decent level of rugby growing up, I was exposed to real quality Strength and Conditioning coaching at university, this lead me to develop a passion for exercise and fitness. During this time I also suffered from some health issues, which lead me to simultaneously develop a real appreciation for health and nutrition as well. 

Following university, I qualified as a personal trainer in 2012, I then went on to spend some time studying with CHEK Europe, part of the CHEK institute, learning about corrective exercise, rehabilitation processes and developing a holistic approach to health and fitness. Since then I developed an interest in movement patterns and mechanics that lead me into Yoga, martial arts (studying Shaolin Gong Fu and Qi Gong in China) and finally Calisthenics/Gymnastics.

During this time (apart from the time spent in China), I have been working in London and Yorkshire (where I am now settled) as an exercise coach.

My own training consists of a balanced mixture of gymnastic and general strength, olympic lifting and cardio, as well as regular Qi Gong/meditation. 

My current clients range from general strength and fitness and exercise for health, to olympic lifting and calisthenics/gymnastic strength.

In 2019 I qualified as a Soft Tissue Massage Therapst (level 5) with the North London School of Sports Massage (NLSSM), and am a member of the Sports Massage Association (SMA, UK).
This interested me because of my background in corrective exercise, as it meant that I would be able to treat my clients from a soft tissue perspective, helping with any injuries or postural issues they have alongside targeted exercise, improving results and recovery from injuries.
Whilst I do involve soft tissue therapy alongside some client's training, this is an option I offer where I feel a client would benefit from the combination of both disciplines. Some of my clients come to me primarily for soft tissue treatments because of specific musculoskeletal issue issues, which are affecting their general movement and quality of life/athletic performance.
